Malang, October 29, 2024. The Indonesian Vocational Academic Leadership Association (PPAVI) has successfully held the IV PPAVI Congress on October 27–29, 2024, at the Santa Maria Magdalena Postel Retreat House, Malang. This event serves as an important momentum in strengthening the role and direction of vocational education development in Indonesia.

The congress was attended by leaders of PPAVI member institutions, representatives of foundations organizing higher education institutions, as well as advisory and supervisory elements of the organization. A total of 28 PPAVI member institutions actively participated in this event, along with the presence of the Executive Secretary of the Education Commission of the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWI).

During the three-day event, the congress discussed various strategic agendas of the organization. The activities began with a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) on Strengthening Institutions aimed at enhancing governance and the future policy direction of PPAVI. Subsequently, a Report of Accountability (LPJ) from the previous board was presented as a form of transparency and evaluation of the organization's performance.

The highlight of the congress was the election of the PPAVI board for the 2024–2027 term, which took place through deliberation in the spirit of togetherness and organizational sustainability. This process is an important part of ensuring adaptive and innovative leadership regeneration in addressing the challenges of vocational education in the era of transformation.

In addition, the congress also produced an initial formulation of the new board's work program focused on improving the quality of vocational education, strengthening networks among institutions, and enhancing synergy with the industry and society.

With the successful holding of this IV Congress, PPAVI reaffirms its commitment as a strategic platform in strengthening the role of vocational education in Indonesia and promoting the development of competent, adaptive, and competitive human resources.
