Yogyakarta, March 29, 2026. One of the member institutions of the Indonesian Vocational Academic Leaders Association (PPAVI), STIKOM Yos Sudarso Purwokerto, is once again holding the annual Student Character Development (BinKar) 2026 event, which will take place on March 28–29, 2026, at Wisma Lentera Kasih, Kalibawang, Yogyakarta.

This activity is an integral part of the student learning process, especially for new students in their second semester, and serves as an academic achievement and one of the graduation requirements recorded in the SKPI (Certificate of Accompanying Diploma). This is emphasized through the obligation to prepare reflections and follow-up plans (RTL) as part of the learning evaluation.

Carrying the theme “Change Your Mind, Change Your World,” this event is based on the belief that great change always starts with a way of thinking. Through reflective and experiential learning approaches, students are invited to know themselves, build life values, and formulate visions and future goals.

During the two-day event, students participate in various systematically designed sessions, ranging from self-awareness processes, personal vision and mission formulation, leadership development, to the preparation of concrete self-development plans (RTL). The dynamics of the activities include motivation, leadership training, personal reflection, and collaborative activities that encourage the active involvement of all participants.

This activity not only emphasizes cognitive aspects but also the formation of attitudes and character. Students are encouraged to understand that being an excellent individual is not only determined by academic intelligence but also by values, integrity, and the ability to contribute to real life.

As part of the continuous learning process, each participant is required to prepare a personal reflection that includes experiences during the event, values gained, and implementation plans in various aspects of life, such as studies, relationships, health, and self-development. This approach ensures that the outcomes of the activities do not stop at a momentary experience but continue to lead to real changes in students' lives.

This Character Development activity is a manifestation of STIKOM Yos Sudarso's commitment to developing vocational education that is not only oriented towards technical competencies but also towards the formation of strong, visionary, and responsible character. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will grow into individuals ready to face the challenges of the world and make a real contribution to society.
